Cross Puzzle – The Game Pieces
Just like in the Tangram puzzle, each piece of the Cross puzzle can be assembled from right isosceles triangles. The puzzle pieces belong to the family of polyabolos.

How do you turn a rectangle into a cross?
This is the starting puzzle of the Cross Puzzle.
However, the seven pieces allow for much more – numerous additional shapes can be formed from them.
In contrast to Tangram shapes, which mostly reproduce representational silhouettes, the Cross puzzle shapes consist primarily of abstract, geometrically symmetrical forms. Many of them fit exactly into a grid of right isosceles triangles and are therefore suitable for automated solution searching with a solving program.
