Symmetries of Hexapon Shapes

From the ten Hexapons, you can assemble the star shown in the illustration – a shape with maximum symmetry: six axes of reflection and sixfold rotational symmetry. This shape has exactly one solution when symmetries are factored out.

In general, symmetric shapes made from Hexapons are rare. Apart from the star mentioned above, no other shape is known that has more than one axis of reflection.
