The Nonagon grid consists of two geometric shapes: six-pointed stars and regular nonagons.

Each puzzle piece consists of a star with zero to six nonagons attached.

There are 14 different puzzle pieces. Twelve are mirror-symmetric. The other two are asymmetric mirror images of each other.

A 3D-printing template for Nonagon Puzzle 1 is available in the “Resources & Downloads” section:

Puzzle 1 contains 13 pieces in total, with one piece used twice. The target shape has the greatest symmetry possible on the Nonagon grid: it has sixfold rotational symmetry and six axes of reflection.

Puzzle 2 uses all 14 different Nonagon pieces. Its target shape has two axes of reflection and twofold rotational symmetry.

The 3D-printing template consists of the 13 Nonagon puzzle pieces and a slider box.
