OctaPentas – a Puzzle Based on Regular Octagons and Pentagons
The OctaPenta grid is composed of regular octagons and pentagons, in a ratio of 1:4 — each octagon is surrounded by four pentagons.
From these two base shapes, a total of 13 distinct polyforms can be constructed:
6 OctaPentas consist of one octagon connected to two pentagons, and 7 additional ones combine one octagon with three pentagons.
For the puzzle, 9 of these 13 OctaPentas were selected.

The 3D-printed puzzle consists of 9 selected OctaPentas. It was created with the help of the Polysolver solution program and is among the more challenging puzzles in this collection.
